# Hevy Sync Brings your [Hevy](https://www.hevyapp.com/) workouts into Obsidian as notes — one note per workout, with frontmatter you can query with Dataview. ## Setup You'll need a Hevy API key from [Hevy developer settings](https://hevy.com/settings?developer) (requires Hevy Pro). Paste it into **Settings → Hevy Sync**, along with the folder you want your workouts in (default: `Hevy`) and your bodyweight, which is used to count pull ups towards your total volume. ## Syncing Open the command palette and pick one of: - **Sync new workouts** — only imports workouts you don't have yet. This is the one you'll use most of the time. - **Sync all workouts** — re-imports everything and overwrites existing notes. Handy after you change your bodyweight setting. Both are also buttons in the settings tab. Notes are named after the Hevy workout id, which is how the plugin knows what it already has. Rename a note and it'll come back on the next sync. ## What a note looks like ```markdown --- date: 2026-08-12 title: Evening Workout volume: 4820 --- # Evening Workout Felt strong today 2026-08-12T17:04:11Z ## Bench Press (Barbell) - 60kg × 10 - 70kg × 8 ``` Sets without a logged weight currently show up as `nullkg × 12`. Volume is still counted correctly for pull ups. ## Installing manually Drop `main.js`, `styles.css` and `manifest.json` into `YourVault/.obsidian/plugins/hevy-sync/`, then enable the plugin. ## License [MIT](LICENSE)
