# Tidy Tabs Keep only the current tab in [Obsidian](https://obsidian.md). One command that closes every other tab in the main area, **across all split panes** — not just within the tab group you're focused on. Obsidian's built-in "Close others in tab group" (`Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+W`) only closes tabs in the current tab group. When you have the main area split into several panes, tabs in the other panes stay open. Tidy Tabs closes them all, leaving exactly one tab: the one you're looking at. ## Command | Command | Description | | --- | --- | | `Keep only the current tab` | Closes all main-area tabs except the active one. | ## Settings - **Keep pinned tabs** — when enabled (default), pinned tabs are kept open. ## Installation ### Manual 1.
