# EasyLink for Obsidian **Find and create links to similar notes, effortlessly.** EasyLink supercharges your note-linking workflow. Instead of manually searching for related ideas, simply select a phrase, run the command, and get an instant, ranked list of the most relevant content from your entire vault, complete with rich previews. ![EasyLink Demo GIF](https://github.com/isitwho/EasyLink/blob/main/assets/Animation.gif?raw=true) --- ## ✨ What's New in the Latest Version - **Completely Redesigned Result Modal**: Search results now display a beautiful, theme-aware preview of the content, not just plain text. - **Keyword Highlighting**: Your search terms are now highlighted within the preview, making it easy to see why a result is relevant. - **Powerful Keyboard Workflow**: Use `Enter` to insert a link and `Ctrl/Cmd + Enter` to open the note in a new tab, all without leaving your keyboard. - **Right-Click Menu**: Access EasyLink directly from the editor's context menu for an even faster workflow. --- ## Core Features - **Intelligent, Contextual Search**: Finds similar content based on shared keywords. - **Relevance Scoring**: Ranks results with a similarity score (%) to show the most relevant content first. - **Precise Linking**: Creates wiki-links directly to specific headings or blocks. - **Highly Customizable**: - Exclude specific folders from search. - Include the current file in search results. - Adjust the maximum number of results. - Set a minimum similarity score to filter out noise. --- ## How to Use 1. **Select Text**: Highlight a word, phrase, or sentence in your note. 2. **Run Command**: - Click the **link icon** in the left ribbon. - **Right-click** on the selection and choose "EasyLink: Find similar content". - OR, open the Command Palette (`Ctrl/Cmd + P`) and run the command `EasyLink: Find similar content for selection`. 3. **Review Previews**: A pop-up modal will appear, showing rich previews of similar content, sorted by the highest relevance score. 4. **Choose an Action**: - **Press `Enter`**: Inserts a perfectly formatted link (`[[Note#^blockId|Your Selected Text]]`) at your cursor's position. - **Press `Ctrl + Enter`** (or `Cmd + Enter` on macOS): Opens the source note in a new tab for quick reference. --- ## Installation ### From the Community Plugins Store 1. In Obsidian, go to `Settings` -> `Community plugins`. 2. Make sure "Restricted mode" is **off**. 3. Click `Browse` and search for **"EasyLink"**. 4.
